UGA HEROs

Give to HEROs

There are more than 12,000 children in the state of Georgia affected by HIV/AIDS; Georgia has the 8th highest rate of pediatric AIDS cases in the United States. UGA HEROs is the only collegiate organization in the state raising money to provide quality of life care to these children, going beyond their basic needs of food, housing, and medicine.

Each dollar raised by UGA HEROs goes directly to support H.E.R.O. for Children to provide year-round mentorships for these children as well as unforgettable experiences throughout the year.

You can be sure that your money is being used effectively and for a great cause. Both Head Football Coach Mark Richt and legendary Athletic Director Vince Dooley are on the HEROs’ Board of Directors; in the last two years, UGA HEROs has successfully raised over $100,000 to support children affected by HIV/AIDS in Georgia. In 2005, UGA HEROs was awarded Organization of the Year by the University of Georgia. HEROs was also honored by Gov. Sonny Perdue on World AIDS Day for bringing awareness to the plight of children in Georgia affected by HIV/AIDS. In order to continue this tradition of charitable excellence, we need your help and your generosity.

We appreciate any amount that you can afford to give to this important cause. Every dollar counts and every donation makes a difference.
