Individual Contributions

UGA HEROs could not exist without the support of generous individuals. Individual contribution is the primary source of support for HEROs, and many of our fundraising initiatives are directed towards the people of our community, educating them about the plight of children affected by HIV/AIDS and providing them with the opportunity to make a difference in these children’s lives.

The money raised by UGA HEROS goes directly to support H.E.R.O. for Children, Inc., an organization founded by UGA alumni who sought to meet the needs of HIV-affected children beyond the basic survival necessities. H.E.R.O. for Children relies on our fundraising efforts to fund their programs for these kids. Supported programs include the SuperHERO mentoring program to give the kids guidance, life skills workshops to help them grow into balanced individuals, and summer camp to allow them to enjoy time with other kids like themselves.
