Become a Team Leader

Team Leaders are the members that UGA HEROs relies on to inspire and motivate new Philanthropists in the Fall. They are effective and fun group leaders who inspire other members to go above and beyond for the sake of the HERO kids. TLs are also the face of UGA HEROs – they represent the organization as a whole to all new members who interact with them.

Because of the importance of their position, Team Leaders must make a significant but manageable time commitment to HEROs each year. A TL must attend training sessions in the Spring semester as well as meet with the HPR executive members repeatedly throughout the coming Fall. It is vital that TLs keep in contact with their team members weekly throughout the year to monitor progress and coordinate fundraising strategies.

An effective Team Leader must be approachable, passionate, innovative, and organized. Team Leaders must be committed to UGA HEROs and their role within it; they must realize that they are the main factor determining the amount of fundraising that a team achieves, and therefore they are an important determinant of the success of UGA HEROs and our mission.
